KAROO PARLIAMENT
The second Sitting of the Karoo Parliament will be taking place in Cradock, on 5th – 6th of November 2014.
The focus this year is strongly on real action and initiatives, building on projects that have already started in the Karoo, and which need to be rolled out on a region-wide basis.
The aim is to add to existing initiatives, and not to replace them.
Program at a glance
We offer three major breakaway sessions:
- Karoo tourism, particularly (a) the Olive Schreiner Route and (b) Karoo Cuisine
- Karoo wellness, particularly (a) nutrition, (b) the arts & education and (c) dealing with Foetal Alcohol Syndrome
- Energizing the economy of the Karoo, particularly (a) waste recycling and (b) revitalising Central Business Districts.
On Wednesday 5 November, there is an opportunity for specialist sessions organised by key interest groups. Let us know if you want to organise such an opportunity.
There will also be an Expo of Karoo products and services.
The program will be updated from time to time and is available on the website www.karoofoundation.co.za
