Schreiner family Reunion

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Schreiner family are joining us in Cradock in celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of their progenitor, Gottlob Schreiner, Olive’s father, the Schreiner family is holding a reunion in Cradock starting on Friday 4 July and running through until Sunday 6 July 2014. 

The organiser of the event is Dr William Bates, who is a 6th generation descendant of Gottlob and Rebecca Schreiner, is a pathologist on the staff of the University of Stellenbosch’s Medical School at Tygerberg Hospital. He informs us that 50-plus descendants, with some coming from overseas, will be gathering in Cradock for a programme of lectures, tours, exchanging of family notes and news, and general celebration. The main venue is the Ikhamanga Hall at Schreiner House.
